We have many reasons to be proud in Sitges. And one of them is that we have the first adapted sailing school in Spain, founded in 1988. Located in the Port de Sitges - Aiguadolç, it is a point of reference and meeting place for training and practising the sport of sailing, open, accessible and ready for everyone.

Equality through sport

The main objective of the Escola de Vela Adaptada de Sitges (Sitges Adapted Sailing School) is to teach people how to sail and to work for the integration of people with disabilities and at risk of exclusion through the practice of sailing and other activities related to nautical sports. The school is open to and aimed at people with different types of disability (physical, cognitive or sensory) and special needs (mental disorders and other pathologies).
