Dance: "Folk as Queer"

Folk as Queer explores the dialogue between collective and individual identity through cultural heritage, bringing traditional practices into conversation with dissident bodies and perspectives. The work proposes a meeting point where languages from the past and the present intertwine to generate a new shared dance. The company L’Esbord, founded in Barcelona in 2022, works from Catalan traditional dance in connection with contemporary dance and root-based music.
