Bar Comodín, the oldest gay bar in Spain
Bar Comodín, located right in the centre of Sitges, opened its doors in 1955 aimed at a gay audience and with live drag performances. This makes it a pioneer in all of Spain and a benchmark venue that still maintains the same essence as on day one: fun, a great atmosphere and the defence of LGBTIQ+ identity. Every night in summer, and on Saturdays and Sundays the rest of the year, Bar Comodín becomes a stage where different Drag Queens offer a varied repertoire, alternating with walkabouts and ironic, sarcastic dialogues with a dedicated… and very loyal audience. Because if anything characterises the atmosphere of Bar Comodín, it is the feeling of being among family, something noticeable both amongst the artists themselves and in their connection with the audience, who tend to return and know some of the songs by heart. Ah! You shouldn’t miss the ‘Nit de la Mantilla’ (Mantilla Night), in which the Drag Queens use this iconic and traditional Spanish garment to cover their hair and shoulders, and a jury chooses the queen of the night.

Dinner and show at Queenz
Unlike Bar Comodín, Queenz, also located in the very centre of Sitges, offers dinner while the Drag Queens perform. Palate, sight and hearing come together in this experience. Visitors can enjoy a menu specialising in Mediterranean and French dishes while taking in a mix of cabaret, theatre and humour, which usually wraps up at midnight. Tip: book in advance ;)
