Patchwork Festival

Sitges, world capital of Patchwork

Art and Sitges have always been a perfect match, as you already know. That is why, when the town hosted the first edition of the International Patchwork Festival in 2005, it was immediately clear that this relationship was going to last. The fabrics and shapes of this textile art form blend beautifully with the backdrop of the sea and the open, colourful character of Sitges. As we said: a winning combination that has become a worldwide benchmark.

More than 100 exhibitors along the seafront promenade

Practical information, as always. The festival, with free admission — except for the exhibitions — takes place every March along Passeig de la Ribera, with three large marquees hosting more than 100 exhibitors. This level of participation has positioned the event as an international benchmark, with unique exhibitions and artists arriving from countries such as South Korea, Japan and the United States. One figure clearly reflects its importance: since 2019, no European patchwork festival has brought together more than 70 exhibitors. In terms of scale and identification with the host city, the other major reference point would be Houston. So now you know. Textile art and Sitges await you. And the combination will surprise you — you’ll see…
