Carrer Primer de Maig – Sin Street

Don’t let the name fool you… or perhaps do!

distance
Various locations

The best-known street in Sitges is undoubtedly Carrer del Primer de Maig, renamed and popularly known as ‘Carrer del Pecat’ (Sin Street). Leading directly to (and from) the seafront promenade, its nickname gives a pretty good idea of the atmosphere and experiences that await along this iconic street. But it is true that, rather than a street of sin, it is a street of temptations: restaurants, fashion and accessory shops, bars, pubs and terraces where you can see and be seen. The ‘sinning’ part is up to you… ;)

An unmissable street

Whether you like going out at night or not, and whether you feel like dancing or not, Carrer del Pecat (Sin Street) is well worth an evening stroll. Whether you are heading to or coming from the beach, this is a unique stretch of town, filled with music spilling out from the clubs, where you see and are seen, especially when you reach its end, or perhaps its beginning, depending on where you start: Plaça de la Indústria. There, to the left and right, the terraces set out their tables and chairs to watch people passing by. And if you turn into Carrer de Joan Tarida, towards Carrer de Bonaire, you will find the favourite area for the LGBTIQ+ community.
