Seven municipalities and a linear route: this is La Carretera del Vi (The Wine Road)
Thirty-three kilometres connect Sitges with Sant Martí Sarroca on a linear route. It is known as the Carretera del Vi (The Wine Road), which passes through seven municipalities and allows for stopovers at thirteen wineries within the Penedès Designation of Origin. It is Spain’s first ‘wine road’ and it even has its own passport, valid for two years, which will be stamped at every stop. But wait, it’s a passport with a prize. Yes, because once you visit six wineries, you are given a bottle from each one of them. And when you complete the other seven, it’s the same. You can’t say it’s not a rewarding passport… ;)

In Sitges, the CIM (Malvasia Interpretation Centre) and the Malvasia de Sitges (wine) are a must.
The stop in Sitges has the added value of being able to taste Malvasia de Sitges (Sitges Malvasia wine), a gastronomic, historical and cultural legacy, whose scope, uniqueness and expansion will be explained to you (tasting included) at the Centre d’Interpretació de la Malvasia (CIM, Malvasia Interpretation Centre) of the Celler de l’Hospital (the Hospital’s Winery).
