You should know that if you head to the Jardins del Casino Prado (Casino Prado Gardens) on the day of the Concurs de Mestres Xatonaires (Xató Masters Competition), you won’t just be able to enjoy the skill of adults and children when preparing this salad, but you can then taste it during the musical vermouth that usually closes the event. Furthermore, you’ll be able to see the jury’s verdict live, which assesses the presentation of the dish, the adherence to the traditional recipe, originality and, of course, the flavour.
