Sitges lives closely connected to the sea. We enjoy it from the shore and from the water, of course. With the arrival of spring, the opportunities to practise water sports multiply — whether with paddles or handlebars, that part is up to you. The marinas of Sitges and urban beaches such as Les Anquines become meeting points for enjoying paddle surfing, kayaking, surfing and jet skiing.

IngSurf in Sitges

Yes, it is true that the Mediterranean is not especially known for big waves, and surfing can sometimes be limited by the conditions. But in Sitges, we have (almost) everything, including an ideal beach for enjoying the surfboard. That beach is Platja d’Aiguadolç, with beginner-friendly waves and a hollow right-hand break for more experienced surfers.

Kayaking in Sitges

Kayaking is always a great way to combine sport with nautical tourism. Because Sitges seen from the sea is spectacular, whether along its urban seafront or beside wild coves such as Platja de l’Home Mort or La Desenrocada. Platja de Les Anquines and Platja d’Aiguadolç both offer kayak rental services.

Paddle surfing in Sitges

Although surfing in Sitges depends on the occasional arrival of consistent waves, paddle surfing benefits perfectly from the calm “flatness” of the Mediterranean Sea, making it ideal for enjoying the scenery and the ride itself. Here too, Platja de Les Anquines offers rental services, as does Platja de la Fragata.

Jet skiing in Sitges

If high-speed adventure on jet skis is more your style, Sitges also offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy this exciting water sport. Several companies provide jet ski rentals both at Port de Sitges – Aiguadolç and at Port Ginesta.
