Escumes de Sitges are traditional dry pastries typical of our town, made with almonds and meringue, which literally melt in your mouth. The name “escumes”, meaning “foam”, is a reference to the texture of sea foam. They are usually eaten as a dessert and accompanied by muscatel or, even better, Malvasia de Sitges wine from Sitges. Yes, you imagine right...Delicious!

A pleasure to be enjoyed all year round

Unlike other local seasonal products, such as ‘espigalls’ (a locally cultivated vegetable similar to cabbage), Escumes de Sitges can be enjoyed all year round. You can try them in any of the bakeries or stores that offer them or also as the end of a lunch or dinner in a restaurant that has them on their menu.
